2024 Christmas Jumper Decorating Competition

Example kindly created by Andrew Hucklesby

Welcome to the 2024 Christmas Jumper Decorating Competition!

Get out the glue and glitter, its our 5th annual Christmas competition!

This years shape – Christmas Jumper!

If you would like your kids to have a go, call into Bottom Shop and collect an MDF Jumper blank, there is no charge for these, 1 per child until we run out. All we ask is for the Childs name and age so we have a rough idea of how many from each age group to expect. If you’re a big kid (16+) and would like to have a go, that’s good too, however, we would like to see a donation go into the St. Columb Christmas Lights tin for each blank collected. Once you have your blank, entry into the competition is completely free.

Everyone loves a good Christmas jumper so let’s see what you can do! Decorate your jumper any way you wish! Once they are done, take a photo just like the example above and email to entry@pgbm.co.uk ensuring that you have your Childs name & age in the message. We will then upload it into the online gallery of the correct category as we receive them

There are 4 age categories: ages 5 & under, ages 6 – 10, ages 11 – 15 and adults (16+) & this year we also have a Guest category for our local YFC members.

From Midday on the 21st December you, your Mum, Brother, Great Uncle Fred, anyone that wants to can pick the one they like the best, and from each category the one with the most votes by 2pm Christmas day will be the winner! Votes will only count once they have passed email verification.

For the 5th year, there has been excellent local support, thanks to Andrew Hucklesby for providing the example, and if you get the chance, be sure to say cheers to the people below who have all chipped in with a prize to make this happen!

For the 5 & unders, Kelly over at The Birds Of Prey Centre has generously donated a group ticket for a session in their brand new Atlantic Playbarn for the lucky winner and 7 of their friends.

For the 6 – 10s, Camel Creek have once again generously donated a family ticket for up to 4 people to have a fun filled and exhausting day out at the park.

For the 11 – 15s, The Screech Owl Sanctuary & Animal Park have generously donated a family ticket for up to 4 people to enter the park and see the amazing work they do caring for their animals and the rehabilitation that many have benefited from over the years as they’ve passed through their care.

For the Adult category (16+) we got a combo prize consisting of a £20 meat voucher generously donated by Dave & Emma down at Peter Morris Butchers, a £20 meal voucher generously donated by Lucy & Sarah down at the RingoBells and a £20 Glanvilles gift voucher to be used for whatever you want in store – and once again, Christina and the team at Trekenning Tourist Park have generously donated a weekend stay for 2 people in their beautifully converted barn!

And for our Young Farmers, a combo prize consisting a voucher for the winner to enjoy a free session over at Giant Slip & Slide, generously donated by the management & team there, a £20 Glanvilles gift voucher to use in store and a selection of car care products generously donated by Rob & Wendy over at Queens Garage

Only Jumper blanks identical to the sample above will be considered for entry into the competition. All entries uploaded will display your Childs name & age. There is no cash alternative to the prizes. Family ticket is valid for 2 adults & 2 children. Weekend Stay to be liaised and booked direct with Trekenning Tourist Park and subject to availability at time of booking. Vouchers & Tickets will be distributed to winners around the second week of January. Votes cast with email addresses that cannot be verified or duplicate votes for the same entry with the same email address will be removed. The judges decision is final. While the blanks have been chosen to be as child friendly as possible, please ensure young children are supervised while creating their masterpieces. Glanville’s St. Columb Ltd will accept no responsibility for flying Jumper blanks, the consumption of paint, glue, glitter etc!

Above all, this is intended to be a bit of fun. Good luck to all those taking part. If you have kids that would like to take part but cannot get in to collect a blank, please give us a call.
